SpotIE is a password recovery tool coded exclusively for Microsoft Internet Explorer. This utility can recover all the passwords and usernames that were saved to the IE browser's cache along with all the saved 'AutoComplete' characters. These critical secrets can be easily revealed using a single mouse click instantly. Therefore, the program can be considered a proof of concept that Microsoft doesn't spend enough time to encrypt the IE saved passwords using powerful algorithms.
The developers of this program say that it is compatible with Internet Explorer versions 6 and 7, but after being tested on Internet Explorer version 8, it has been discovered to be working flawlessly as well. The program was also found to work with all Microsoft Windows versions including Vista and XP. The program's user interface is very simple and consists of just one screen. Unfortunately, it lacks the ability to export your recovered passwords, but you can still simply copy them to your clipboard.
The major disadvantage of the unregistered version of this program is that it doesn't display the saved passwords, they will only be revealed after the program is bought.
